Most non-resident visitors should arrange admission before traveling to Hanauma Bay. Direct online reservations are released through the official Honolulu booking system.
A ticket reserves a visit date and entry time. It does not reserve parking, transportation, snorkel equipment, food, or a guide. Plan those parts separately.

When to Book
Direct reservations normally open two days before your visit at 7:00 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time. Popular morning times can disappear quickly.

How to Book
The process is simple, but speed matters when demand is high.

Load the official reservation page several minutes before 7:00 a.m. HST. Check any notices shown above the ticket button.
Choose the Date
Select the visit date as soon as it becomes available. Hanauma Bay is normally open Wednesday through Sunday.
Pick a Time
Choose an available entry time. Earlier times usually leave more room for parking, check-in, and beach time.
Add Visitors
Enter the correct party size and visitor categories. Free-entry visitors should still be listed correctly when the portal requires it.
Save the Ticket
Complete checkout, then save the confirmation and QR code. A screenshot is useful if mobile service is weak at the entrance.
Do not refresh during payment
Once checkout begins, avoid refreshing or using the back button unless the official system tells you to. Wait for the transaction result, then use “Find My Ticket” if needed.

Morning entry is normally the safest choice for parking and a less rushed visit. It can also offer calmer conditions, although the ocean can change at any time.
Do not lose the reservation while trying to choose between two nearby times. A confirmed 8:20 a.m. slot is more useful than losing both 8:10 and 8:20 while deciding.

Driving
Parking Is Separate
A reservation does not reserve a parking stall. The visitor lot operates separately and can fill early.
Current published parking fees are $3 for non-resident vehicles and $1 for Hawaii residents with valid Hawaii ID. Bring cash unless the official site announces another payment method.
Leave extra time
Arriving exactly at your ticket time can create problems if the lot is full. Plan time for traffic, parking, check-in, and the required orientation.

If your preferred time is unavailable, check other times on the same day, try another open day, or review current official instructions for limited walk-in access.
Do not leave Hanauma Bay for the final possible day of your trip. A second available day gives you another chance if tickets sell out or conditions are poor.
